A bit about me
Hi there! I'm Amy, and I'm currently studying a double degree in Engineering (Honours) and Medical Science at the ANU.
I graduated from Cairns School of Distance Education with a 97.45 ATAR, as school captain and school dux, topping over half of my subjects and winning multiple academic awards.
I have a passion for all things science and maths and was crazy enough to take biology, chemistry, physics, maths methods and specialist maths in senior. I love learning how the world around us works but I also found out the hard way that STEM subjects can be massively demanding and trying to grasp all the content can be a nightmare!
If that sounds like you, hopefully I can help! Over my time in senior, I learnt what study methods worked effectively for me (with a lot of trial and error) and would love to share them with you. I know that everyone learns differently, so my lessons will be tailored to suit you and your learning style, helping you find confidence in your studies and in yourself.
Whilst school does require a lot of dedication and discipline, I believe that good grades shouldn’t mean sacrificing everything else in life - work, socialising, extra-curriculars and relaxing are just as important too. Finding a good balance is key to success. And whilst it took me some time to get there, I’m keen to share my experiences with you.
When I’m not studying, you’ll probably find me curled up in my hammock with a good book basking in the Canberra sun. Otherwise I'll be listening to music (mostly heavy rock and heavy punk), playing piano, or ranting about supercars, Formula 1 and Marvel movies to my friends and family.
