Let’s be real: the Aussie classroom is a bit of a squeeze these days. With one teacher often looking after thirty different students, it’s easy for your child to get lost in the crowd.
School lessons are great, but they usually follow a "one-size-fits-all" approach. If the teacher's pace doesn't click with how you learn, you can end up feeling completely stumped while the rest of the class moves on.
A private tutor flips the script. Instead of being just another face in the room, you’re the priority. It’s all about one-on-one attention that actually focuses on the bits you find tricky.
Whether you’re in Sydney tackling the HSC or down in Melbourne prepping for VCE, having a mentor who knows the ins and outs of the curriculum makes the world of difference.
The best part about HSC tutors is that they’ve usually been in your shoes pretty recently. They know exactly how the pressure feels and how to manage the workload.
Getting tutoring support doesn't mean you're "behind." It just means you’re being smart about your goals. Even the top students use tutors to stay ahead of the pack and secure those high grades.
From the primary school basics to the final year grind in NSW, private tutors provide a safe space to ask "dumb" questions and get the answers you actually need.
So, if you’re looking to level up your results this year, finding the right fit on KIS Academics is the best way to start. It’s personal, it’s local, and it’s tailored to you.
The main difference between private tutoring and school lessons is that at school, students mostly learn in groups and may not get enough attention from their teachers in Australia.
What's more, the school curriculum may not be suited to a student's learning style or interest and they may struggle to be taken with it.
A private tutor in Sydney, on the other hand, can adapt their tutoring approach to each child's particular needs in Syndey, whether it's HSC maths revision or English essays, and make sure they are learning without stress lesson by lesson during the year.
Then, tutoring lessons are often given on a one-to-one basis, so students can also feel more at ease to actively participatein them without being afraid of making a mistake.
As a result, a student getting tutoring support from private tutors often grows more confident during the school year in NSW and can achieve a high grade in the subject in which they get help in Sydney.
In theory, private tutoring in maths, English, science and other school subjects is a very effective learning format. However, for it to work out really well, students need to learn with the right tutors.
First of all, good private tutors in Sydney must know the school and HSC curriculum in maths, English or another subject they teach to help the student learn relevant skills for their ATAR lesson by lesson.
Secondly, students should ideally feel at ease with their private tutors to be willing to learn Maths, English, science or other high school and HSC subjects with them and enter a university in NSW after school.
Finally, it can be a good idea to find a tutor living not so far from the student's place in order not to waste much time commuting in Sydney or NSW during the school year.
So, searching for tutors in Sydney is not an easy task at all and that's where KIS Academics comes in.
KIS Academics is an online tutoring platform where lots of tutors from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and other cities in Australia offer lessons.
What makes KIS particularly effective to find tutors for yourself or your child is that students can not only search by curriculum, subjects, HSC, VCE, QCE, IB, WACE, SACE, NTCET, TCE, ACT-SSC or university tutors but also get helpful information about them online.
For instance, on tutors' profiles, you can read about the year of students they usually teach in Sydney and NSW, their tutoring experience, methods, university education and many other useful details.
Then, you can also read reviews from other students to find out if a tutor's tutoring lessons are really helpful to improve a school child's ATAR in Australia.
Finally, once you've chosen one of the tutor, you can contact them by filling a form and once you are in touch with them, you can ask them questions and book in-person or online lessons with them.
With KIS, you will not waste precious time looking for tutoring services but will book lessons with the right tutor quickly, so you or your child can start learning and improving your ATAR.
As a tutor Lisa Chao has been very nice and helpful for my daughter. Really impressed !
Tyson was a great tutor, he has always made sure I understood what the questions asked and how to imagine chemistry in a wider picture. Helping my improve into the high 80’s for my exam. I began to feel confident in myself going into my chem class and was very open which helped me feel comfortable in asking questions.
I had Alexis Chau as my year 12 QCE Literature tutor. She is a very patient and kind tutor, who always took time to explain things. She went above and beyond to make sure all the material was covered, and was kind enough to provide other resources to assist in studying. She also took the time to check in with my other subjects, especially during exam weeks, making the whole thing less stressful. There was a huge improvement in my literature grades after working with her. Overall she is an excellent tutor, I am greatful to have been able to work with her.
It was such a great experience, and my tutor, Alexis Chau, was absolutely amazing. I definitely wouldn’t have gotten through Year 12 without her. Her lessons helped so much, and the fact that they were specifically tailored to me and what I needed support with made all the difference. She was always patient, reliable, and genuinely invested in my progress, which made every session feel supportive and productive. I would 100% recommend her and this company to anyone looking for personalised and effective tutoring.
