Karishma
Hi everyone! My name is Karishma, and I am currently completing my Honours research year after completing a Bachelor of Biomedicine, majoring in Pharmacology, at the University of Melbourne. During my time in the IB program in Singapore, I had the unique experience of being both a tutor and a tutee. As a student, I benefited from countless hours of tutoring, which played a crucial role in achieving my academic success. Simultaneously, I served as a mentor to younger students mentoring maths and biology, refining my teaching methods and style. Having been on both sides of the tutoring relationship, I understand what makes a great tutor. I believe two key elements are essential for success:
- A goal-oriented approach: By combining my skills as a tutor with your strengths as a student, we can create a structured, timeline-driven plan to achieve your goals.
- A supportive environment: I strive to foster a comfortable and open atmosphere where you feel at ease discussing your challenges so we can tackle them together.
I’m flexible in adapting my teaching methods to suit each student's individual needs and will consistently track progress to ensure you’re gaining the most from our sessions. Let’s work together to achieve your goals!
Outside of studying, I love spending my time baking and cooking. I also enjoy staying active with Pilates and hanging out with friends, whether it’s trying new restaurants or experiencing live music.
