Hello!
My name is Emerald, and I am a medical student at Monash University, studying the Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine pathway. I graduated high school in QLD in 2025 with A level results across all my subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Literature, Mathematical Methods, Physics and Specialist Mathematics). I am passionate about helping students build both confidence and strong study habits.
Throughout high school, I mentored younger students and held numerous leadership roles. These roles taught me how to explain complex ideas in a clear, supportive way. I know that every student has their unique way of learning, so I focus on tailoring my lessons to each individual, whether it be breaking down difficult concepts, improving exam techniques or developing effective study strategies.
My tutoring style is structured but flexible. I aim to make sessions engaging and encouraging whilst also helping students think critically and develop independence in their learning. Having recently graduated from high school myself, I understand the pressures student face and can provide practical tips for managing workload, preparing for assessments and performing under exam conditions. However, my assistance does not just stop there. As your tutor, I also aim to help you navigate the non-academic side of school as well. I believe having a proper study/life balance is critical to academic success and thus, I will not only provide support for your academic studies but your own personal wellbeing too.
