Sera
Hiya its Sera here and i'm an academic survivor (just barely). From being academically violated basically throughout the entirety of high school, I managed to get through it and come out on top without sacrificing my hobbies and my soul.
Since graduating high school, I have enjoyed teaching other students while also balancing my own studies and social life. As an undergraduate student studying Biomedical Engineering at USYD, I have really appreciated learning the importance of of "work hard, play hard," which I intend to embody. Now in between catching up on lectures from uni, I enjoy playing games, painting, sewing and going on the annual ski trips.
When teaching other students, I really try to emphasise the importance of achieving personal bests and setting goals. Sometimes grinding it out is not the way to get that 100%. Sometimes its better to start slow, break things down and simplify to promote learning. As they say big things start from small beginnings... I think?
