Hello, Guys! 👋
Hi! My name is Hayden, and I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering (Honours) and Computer Science at UNSW. When I’m not reading or studying, you can find me watching cricket, playing ultimate frisbee, or 3D-printing parts for my latest robotics project.
I graduated from Normanhurst Boys High School as an All Rounder with an ATAR of 99.60, placing second in the state for Engineering Studies (98). I achieved a 99 in Mathematics Advanced, along with Band 6s and E4s in Mathematics Extension 1, Physics, Chemistry, Software Engineering, and English. Having very recently completed Year 12, and as an ATAR Notes author, I know the syllabus inside out and can help you build the confidence and skills to ace the HSC.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my approach to learning. I’ve always believed that strong results and genuine enjoyment of a subject come from conceptual understanding rather than rote memorisation, helping prevent confusion in the classroom. Once these foundations are solid, I help students tackle the harder, “back-of-the-test” questions with confidence. This improves marks by reducing silly mistakes and exam stress, preparing you for whatever curveballs the examiners throw at you.
Having studied in a selective school environment, I place a strong emphasis on study skills, exam technique, and effective revision strategies. I tailor my approach to each student’s goals, actively identifying gaps in understanding and targeting the areas holding them back, while building on existing strengths. This ensures progress is efficient and the workload manageable, so that you can achieve great results without burning out or sacrificing your social life or extracurricular commitments.
If you’re looking for a supportive, passionate STEM focused tutor who understands the HSC and knows how to get results, I’d love to work with you, feel free to get in touch! While not listed subjects, I would be happy to also tutor Year 11 and 12 Software Engineering and Engineering Studies.
