Natasha
Hi! I'm Natasha and I somehow survived high school without pulling an all-nighter study session! I graduated as the VCE Valedictorian of my school and currently am studying a double degree in Secondary Education and Science at Monash University.
While I often did well with the teacher's explanations during school, a lot of my friends struggled to understand and would ask me to teach it to them afterwards. This taught me a lot about how different people learn and how to switch up my way of teaching to give them the best chance of understanding. As a tutor and future teacher I aim to make content as digestible as I can for my students without overwhelming them with information.
During my free time I love to read fantasy books, play the flute, and meet up with friends to play Dungeons and Dragons together. I also love to cuddle my cat when she lets me and play boardgames with my family!
I also believe that the mental health of students is of peak importance. During my school years, I often neglected my mental health in preference of getting more work done, which left me stressed and exhausted constantly. It was only after I started taking care of myself that I had the energy to get involved and fully engage with my learning. As such, I really want to help students learn and study in a way that doesn't harm their wellbeing so that they can get the most out of their learning and set up good habits going forwards as well.
