Hey there! My name is Anushan, and I’m a graduate of Brisbane Grammar School, now studying Dental Surgery at James Cook University. To be completely honest, apart from morning tea and lunch where I caught up with mates, I used to hate school. The endless cycle of assignments, tests, and studying felt overwhelming. Balancing school with sports and extracurriculars was a constant challenge, and at one point, I felt completely burnt out. But things changed when I discovered how to study smarter, not harder. By using specific study techniques and learning how to manage my time effectively, I found myself excelling academically while still enjoying my favourite activities. More importantly, I started to enjoy the learning process itself, which made a huge difference in how I approached school. As a tutor, my goal is to help students navigate these same challenges. Whether it’s breaking down tricky concepts, making lessons engaging, or sharing practical tips for managing school and extracurriculars, I’m here to make the journey less stressful and more rewarding. I believe that with the right guidance and habits, anyone can find success in school while still having time to enjoy life. Outside of tutoring, I’m a big fan of unwinding with Netflix or anime, staying active with sports, and grabbing food with friends.
