Yuenchen
Hey there! đź‘‹
I’m Yuenchen and I’m studying a Bachelor of Science / Doctor of Medicine at the University of Sydney. I graduated high school a year early as Dux with a 99.95 ATAR, and received scholarships and medical school offers from universities throughout Australia. In university I've received numerous awards such as the Chancellor's scholarship, Dean's list, Academic Merit Prize, Dennison Research Scholarship and the Bannerman Prize for Chemistry. At the moment, I'm an intern in two psychology labs where I'm helping conduct cutting edge research in perceptual psychology!
So what makes me stand out as a tutor?
In the past, I've been a football coach for the NZ Special Olympics, a high school coach, mentor and tutor, started an educational Youtube channel, volunteered in a youth neuroscience organisation, and worked as a tutor for Crimson Education.
These experiences have helped me learn how to teach and adapt to a wide range of students. As a tutor I believe my job is to adapt to YOUR style of learning. Whether you're someone who loves using visual examples to learn, or just want to grind out exam papers, I'll make sure you always get the most out of our tutoring sessions.
I am also incredibly invested in every one of my students! Whether it's by helping you achieve your academic dreams, or offerring support and guidance throughout your high school journey, I am always happy to go above and beyond.
My hobbies at the moment include bouldering and playing the guitar. I love listening to music, especially anything by Daniel Caesar! In my spare time I love playing badminton with friends, going karaoke and visiting the best dessert places in Sydney.
