A bit about me
Hi, I am Dr Nicholas D'Alonzo and I am an expert in Nanotechnology. I have a deep understanding of chemistry, physics and science in general. I have many years of experience as a private tutor helping students reach their educational goals
I was a working research scientist and I have published several scientific papers. Including one that was featured on the cover of the Australian Journal of Chemistry. I excelled at university where I was able to focus more on my favoured subject of chemistry, (although physics and biology also interested me), which led to honours and an invitation to do a PhD. I was the student everyone else went to for help during class.
Since completing my PhD I have been out and about engaging in climate activism and politics. Which has put me in contact with the general public far more than I did as a research scientist. I have had to learn to explain often complicated scientific concepts at a level anyone can understand. I have found that I am quite good at it. drilling down to the core of a concept in just a short elevator pitch.
This of course comes in handy when tutoring students which has been my paid work for several years. I want to spread my love of science and the gift of science literacy to as many people as possible.
