Hey! My name is Massimo, and I graduated from Xavier College. I know that Year 12 is an extremely difficult year for you all as you face gargantuan pressure to do well and to, for the first time, begin to forge your pathway in life. I managed to cope with all the pressure with a balanced study routine and a focused, purposeful mindset.

I cannot stress how important it is in Year 12 to do as many things that you love as you possibly can while still ensuring you complete the right amount of study. If there is a social gathering on Saturday night, go to it. If there is an extra opportunity to be taken up at school, take it up. If there's a sport you love, continue to play it. I promise you that these slivers of happiness and freedom will help you stay motivated to do well and to pursue your goals.

My goal is to make you love your subject. I plan to do this by teaching students to study for not only their exams, but also themselves. Often, it is easy to get obsessed with the exam, and how to answer exam questions. Yet if students are unable to contextualise what they are understanding and possess a practical understanding and love of the material, I find that this hinders performance. I plan to help you love learning, and to use your learning to become more well-rounded, critical thinkers.
