Hi, my name is Mart. I’m a student at the University of Western Australia finalising my biomedical engineering (honours) degree and hoping to start medical school in 2024 with the hope of being a doctor. Ever since starting high school, I’ve always had a passion for science and maths and love to pass this on to others. I believe these subjects can and should be fun and accessible to all students, if they’re taught the right way. My goal for my students is not only to improve their grades and place them on the pathway to academic success, but also to encourage a lifelong love of learning within them. 
I’ve got a lot of experience working with youth of all ages, and a proven track record of helping students improve their grades. I am patient and empathetic, and am always willing to go the extra mile to help my students succeed. After many years of study at both a school and university level, I’ve developed and fine-tuned an arsenal of study techniques and exam strategy that have helped me achieve my academic goals. I happily pass these on to my students, giving them all the tools they need to optimise their learning and smash their exams! I’ve also had the opportunity to conduct research in my time at university, where I’ve applied many of the topics I’ve learned and taught to help solve real world problems. Communicating these experiences to my students often helps answer the classic question, “But when will I ever use this stuff in my day to day life?!”, and helps them see the relevance of what they are learning in the classroom to motivate them.
In my free time, I love hiking and spending time outdoors in nature. I like to stay active and fit through the likes of running, basketball and surfing. I also love experimenting with different creative pursuits, right now I’m learning the drums - a great way to blow off some steam!
