A bit about me
Hi! I'm Dan. We all know that high school is a defining period of our life, and I'm very familiar with how overwhelming it may be at times. You obviously value your education a lot, and my goal is to propel you in the direction that you want to go in. I had my fair share of ups and downs, trying to figure out what worked for me and what didn't - balancing school work with other responsibilities is tough! I have so much to share, including the productive mindset that I developed, tips for juggling co-curricular commitments, cohesive ways to approach learning new content - the list goes on.
More specifically, my goal is to make learning maths as enjoyable and straight-forward as possible. Do you ever look at an answer to a problem that you can't solve, and think "I understand how they got there, but I don't know how I would think of that"? Yeah, I know that feeling all too well. In our lessons, I'll make sure that you not only understand what is going on, but also have the ability to tackle weird and wacky problems using the arsenal of skills and techniques that you'll develop over the year.
I graduated from my high school with an a ATAR of 99.45. I love to go bouldering, and also make music in my spare time. I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering and Biomedical Science at Monash University, where I get to use my passion for maths and science to come up with innovative solutions to real-life problems.
