Intro video:
A bit about me
Hi! I’m Bea (not pronounced Bee btw, but Bae-yuh) and I am a current engineering student. I graduated high school as the Academic Captain and Proxime Accessit with an ATAR of 97.60. When I’m not studying, I love listening to music, swimming, and painting.
Throughout high school, I adored my teachers, but I often found myself struggling with the usual copying of their notes and watching their set YouTube videos. With ATAR looming, I made it my mission to self-teach, experimenting with any and all types of techniques.
I learned to sift the important information from the overwhelming chunks of texts, made notes that were detailed yet succinct, trained my brain regularly to the point I could picture my notebook (spirals and all) when I closed my eyes and was able to spot a key concept buried in a question from miles away.
I believe learning is a skill anyone can improve because learning is like training. But like training, you can have all the equipment available to you, yet you are not going to grow anything if you are using it wrong. As a tutor, I can provide both the resources and guidance to nourish and grow students’ brains.
I will be a personal trainer, finding the best methods for each of my students and making sure they keep up to track. With that in mind, I am not just going to help my clients pass their tests or improve their scores - I will also help them gain the skills and habits they need for any other subjects as well as university.
