A bit about me
Greetings! I’m Ashwin, your friendly neighbourhood med student and your potential academic confidante. The transition from high school to medical school has been quite the ride, and I’m here to share the strategies, resources and sanity-saving tips that got me through it all.
I graduated with a 99.35 ATAR in year 11 and was the Dux of my school, receiving multiple subject prizes for the top score. I was also awarded the Governor’s Commendation for recognition of my extracurricular achievements, particularly noting representation in international robotics competitions and tertiary-level research projects. Moreover, I have volunteered countless hours to work with younger students at my school during academic support sessions, coached Olympiad/debating teams and conducted over 100 hours of tuition classes.
When it comes to tutoring, I draw inspiration from Richard Feynman, or ‘The Great Explainer’ as he is known. A tutor in Feynman’s vein will break down an abstract STEM concept into simple components and provide a diagrammatic representation or a simple analogy to bring the concept into focus, while ensuring comprehension through discussion, concept-check questions and fun activities. I will tailor my style to fit your specific needs and equip you with a comprehensive understanding of marking criteria and exam/test structures so you can maximise your opportunities.
In my spare time, when I’m not watching lectures at 2x speed or conducting research, you can find me re-reading Dostoyevsky novels, building/programming robots or playing chess.
What makes me tick? Witnessing your success! There is nothing more rewarding than seeing you flourish and achieve your goals. Please feel free to reach out for a chat or to ask any questions you may have. Looking forward to joining you on your academic journey!
