A bit about me
Hello!
My name is Ammarah and I am passionate tutor looking to support as many students as possible in there journey towards reaching their academic potential. Currently I am studying Optometry at UNSW, and had graduated from high school in 2022 from Macquarie Fields High School. Outside of uni I am an avid reader and enjoy spending time with my family and friends as I believe that maintaining a good social life is important for avoiding burnout!
I can definitely empathise with the waves of anxiety, sitting in a classroom feeling miles behind everyone else and not knowing how to seek help or catch up. Especially now as teaching shortages continue to grow, personalised support in a student's learning is becoming impossible in a classroom environment. That's why I hope that my private tutoring lessons can create a safe and supportive environment for students to grow toeards their academic goals.
As a tutor I can recognise and rectify any misunderstanding and mistakes that may hinder the ability of the student to grasp the content well enough to excel in it. This teaching style ensures students feel more confident and enjoy their learning. As a tutor I am rewarded by student's success and improvement as they establish confidence in their learning.That's why I hope that my private tutoring lessons can allow my students to become confident in their learning. I am rewarded as a tutor by my student's success and improvement as they establish confidence in their learning. Over my years of tutoring experience, I have learnt that each student has the potential to reach great success through hard work and a love for learning. I seek to motivate my students and challenge their beliefs of the academic achievements they are capable of to exceed their own expectations for themselves!
During high school I have excelled in my learning and developed a passion for learning ans teaching maths to my peers. I have always been an eager learner which reflected in my grades throughout high school and received the dux award upon the completion of the HSC. My experience as a student means I have established a range of strategies for success that I can pass onto my students!
