As a year 11 student doing ATAR, I was looking for a tutor that could help me with French. KIS Academics was incredibly helpful and fast at finding me a wace french tutor who could assist me with my studies. My tutor Eliza Carey over the past few months has helped me so much not only in French but in biology and maths as well. I’m incredibly grateful for the effort and commitment she has put into helping me be more comfortable and less stressed about the subjects I was having difficulty with. It’s been nothing but an honour to be tutored by Eliza and I strongly recommend her as a tutor
“I got the top mark for my SAC which was really nice, and I think that’s all because of my tutor”

“It's been absolutely fantastic and it's just been a very positive environment for learning”

Hi, I'm Keira! I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne, and I graduated as the dux of my school with an ATAR of 99.80 and a study score of 50 in Chemistry. My mission is to help you find as much enjoyment and interest in the subjects as I did in high school! Personally, I believe that we should never learn FOR exams. That's why as a tutor, I focus on helping you understand why different concepts are important and how each concept is related to one another, sometimes by going a little bit beyond the curriculum, in order to develop an interconnected and holistic understanding of each topic. Actively seeking out the different relationships and connections between concepts is also what I believe makes subjects like Chemistry and Maths so fun and interesting! At the same time, exams are undoubtedly important, which is why each lesson will also be tailored to your needs, targeting the gaps in your knowledge and the things that you might find challenging. Having survived high school, I have a wealth of exam tips and tricks to make sure you're fully equipped to beat the final boss at the end of the year! However, high school is so much more than just studying. During my final year of high school, I played piano, read constantly (I love classics and Greek mythology!), skated, baked (anyone else have an unhealthy obsession with Japanese curry bread?), and ran a STEM club at lunchtimes for younger kids. With effective time and stress management strategies, which I'll teach you throughout the year, you'll be able to do the same and more! If I sound like the perfect tutor for you, please don't hesitate to get in touch :) Looking forward to meeting you!
Hi guys! I’m Caeley and I'm studying psychology in uni. I really enjoyed high school given the way that I was able to keep up with my academics and make sure it wasn’t a huge stress factor, so I am really excited to help others achieve the same :) I finished high school by completing the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma achieving an ATAR equivalent of 99.60 and surprisingly, throughout the entirety of high school, I never ever had to stay up too late to study for a test or finish a project (so cool, I know). I am all about genuinely understanding content as well as studying smarter not harder so that we can get great results with minimal stress, so I would absolutely love to help you with that
Hello there! My name is Selina, and I am one of the Maths tutors here at KIS Academics. My main goal with tutoring is to empower students and help them feel more confident in their academic abilities. So if you are someone that needs extra assistance with content or want to further accelerate your learning, I am determined to work together to help you smash your goals! I completed year 12 in 2019 from The Mac Robertson Girls High School. Since then I have recently graduated from a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University, and I am now studying Doctor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne. In terms of my tutoring background, I have a wealth of tutoring experience in primary school Mathematics, high school Mathematics and VCE Maths Methods private tutoring. Whilst I have always been someone that has aimed to achieve high scores in my studies, a big part of my personality is also made up of a variety of extracurricular activities such as dancing, singing and performing, leadership roles, work and socialising with friends and family. Being involved in so many activities is what has shaped my main teaching principle: ‘work smarter not harder’. I aim to inspire my students to embody this principle and help them implement efficient study techniques so that they also have time to live a balanced lifestyle outside of school. When it comes to my teaching style, I am a firm believer in having a strong foundation in the content of a subject. This is achieved by ironing out all of the knowledge gaps and clarifying any questions a student may have. Once this is achieved, effective practise is paramount to the success in that subject. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please feel free to contact me so we can venture into this journey together!
