As a year 11 student doing ATAR, I was looking for a tutor that could help me with French. KIS Academics was incredibly helpful and fast at finding me a wace french tutor who could assist me with my studies. My tutor Eliza Carey over the past few months has helped me so much not only in French but in biology and maths as well. I’m incredibly grateful for the effort and commitment she has put into helping me be more comfortable and less stressed about the subjects I was having difficulty with. It’s been nothing but an honour to be tutored by Eliza and I strongly recommend her as a tutor
“I got the top mark for my SAC which was really nice, and I think that’s all because of my tutor”
Medha / Year 12 Student
“It's been absolutely fantastic and it's just been a very positive environment for learning”
Amanda / Parent of a Year 7 Student
Hi! My name is Maaz and I graduated from Trinity Grammar School with an ATAR of 99.4. Since high school, I have tutored many school students both privately and as a university tutor. I am currently doing my PhD in Theoretical Physics at the University of Melbourne. While I enjoy intellectual endeavours of all kinds, I absolutely love imparting my knowledge of physics and math to students and spreading curiosity in these very intricate subjects. Having tutored many students in the past, I bring a wealth of experience that helps me identify students' weaknesses and knowledge gaps My passion lies in sharing my knowledge of physics and math, and I find it incredibly rewarding to ignite curiosity in these subjects. Through my past tutoring experiences, I've developed effective techniques to simplify complex concepts and make them more understandable. My tutoring style is all about practicality and understanding. I won't just teach you from the books – I'll work with you to grasp the core principles, build a strong foundation, and tackle challenges head-on. My goal is to help you not only improve your grades but also develop a genuine appreciation for the subjects. Let's work together to strengthen your skills, fill in the gaps, and boost your confidence. I'm here to guide you through the world of physics and math in a down-to-earth, accessible way.
Hi everyone! My name is Anthony and I can't wait to be your tutor :) I graduated high school in 2021 with an IB bilingual diploma of 43/45 (ATAR ~99.65) and am currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne. Outside of studying, I enjoy playing badminton, karaoke, travelling, and discovering good food with my friends. I began tutoring during COVID in 2020 and have been doing so on and off since. I have experience tutoring between the ages of 5 to 19 and have discovered over time that I am very versatile and adaptive in terms of changing my tutoring style depending on the student's ability. I consider myself to be a friendly, cheerful, and positive person, qualities I believe bode well for tutoring. I can improve not only your grades along with your knowledge and understanding, but also your confidence in your abilities, your work ethic, your speaking and writing style, and more! While I only undertook the IB program, I now have about a year of experience tutoring the VCE and HSC programs in Australia. Additionally, I achieved very well in all the subjects I am tutoring, most of which I undertook at a higher level so I believe I could be the right tutor for you!
My name is Mitch, and I'm glad I didn't scare you away with my incredibly natural profile pic! I'm currently studying the Doctor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne, after having finished my Bachelor of Biomedicine last year. For the record, if this is a career path you're currently interested in, I'm 100% your guy! Although I've decided to be a science nerd as a job, I've always had a strength for learning languages and writing. I was lucky enough to go on exchange to Bordeaux when I was younger, which inspired me to become a life-long learner of French. I would then go on to complete VCE French, before continuing my French education in university. Si tu cherches quelqu'un qui a une connaissance intime de la langue francaise, c'est moi ton premier choix! As for English, well, that's my jam. I suppose I don't really know why I've always been a naturally strong writer, other than perhaps the fact that I read a lot as a kid. Throughout my academic career I've always exceled in writing tasks, including my VCE English Language studies where I secured a raw 44. If you want a guy who can talk enthusiastically about analytical commentaries and societal linguistics for hours, I'm once again your guy. By now I'm sure you're probably bored to death of reading about me - you're nearly at the end! I consider myself a pretty chill person with a wide array of interests and who loves a good yarn. The way I usually describe it to people is, "if it's interesting, I'm interested." So, as well as helping you navigate the murky waters of school to achieve your academic goals, I look forward to getting to know you, and chatting about all things life & beyond. Cheerio for now!
