Hi there! My name is Karina and I am a Monash University student, studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Science. Although I thoroughly enjoy my degree, I also love spending my free time exploring Melbourne with my friends (and of course getting a little carried away by Netflix). Anyways, since high school, I've always thoroughly enjoyed mathematics and had a strong passion to share my knowledge with others (after all, knowledge is power!). As a result, I decided to become an independent tutor in Mathematics after graduating with an ATAR of 97.45. From here, I have helped provide easier and more effective methods for students to break down convoluted questions similar to those seen on past exams. I always convey these ideas in a positive, friendly and supportive manner such that students can continue to develop their mathematics skills and achieve their long and short term goals. Heyy there 👋, my name is Dulitha and I am a Monash Medical Student who graduated from Melbourne High School. My philosophy with tutoring is that effective teaching requires passion❤️‍🔥. As a tutor, I strive to cultivate an environment in which all my students can clearly see how passionate I am to impart the knowledge, the tips and the tricks for the subjects I tutor. The most important aspect of studying that I learned as a student is that there is a clear distinction between studying hard and studying smart 🧠. Anyone can study hard, but the students who study smart are the ones that excel in other aspects of their life as well😌. On top of teaching the subject content, I incorporate pieces of advice to allow my students to refine their study methods 🤔 and find balance in their life.   Outside of my academics, I am a big football fan ⚽️ (soccer if you’d like) and I support Liverpool ❤️ in the Prem. To fuel my passion for football, I play in one of the medicine futsal teams for social sport and have a bit of unwinding time with my mates. I also play Valorant 🎮 with my high-school mates (although in moderation these days), and love getting together with everyone and vibing together.
