As a year 11 student doing ATAR, I was looking for a tutor that could help me with French. KIS Academics was incredibly helpful and fast at finding me a wace french tutor who could assist me with my studies. My tutor Eliza Carey over the past few months has helped me so much not only in French but in biology and maths as well. I’m incredibly grateful for the effort and commitment she has put into helping me be more comfortable and less stressed about the subjects I was having difficulty with. It’s been nothing but an honour to be tutored by Eliza and I strongly recommend her as a tutor
“I got the top mark for my SAC which was really nice, and I think that’s all because of my tutor”

“It's been absolutely fantastic and it's just been a very positive environment for learning”

Hello! I’m Jerry Yip, a 2022 graduate of Prince Alfred College (Adelaide) with an ATAR of 98.55. I’m a Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics and EAL tutor in both VCE and IB curriculum. I did the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in my last two year of high school and achieve merits in Mathematics, Economics and Chemistry and Sports Science. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Biomedicine in the University of Melbourne, with an interest in biomedical research. Despite the high workload in high school, I find a way to balance between my hobbies (reading and running) and my academic commitments and I find that this is my key to my success. Personally I find that maintaining a normal lifestyle can help you to achieve better academic outcomes. In terms of study techniques, I think the key to success is built around these four components. Build a genuine interest in your chosen subjects, strengthen your foundation of the subject’s nature, knowing what assessors are looking for, and mastering effective study techniques. I would like to use my experiences from high school and university to share my knowledge and experience to help you all! During our session, I will tailor made our lessons to ensure you are on track with your current studies and any upcoming assessments. My number one priority would be helping you to understand key contents and ideas well and develop approaches to tackle different type of assessments. This will be done by working through practice problems and past exams, with a comprehensive collection of notes and past exams that I’ve accumulated throughout my times in school. I look forward to meeting you and give you a hand in your academic journey. If you want to further discuss more, feel free to contact me and we can organise a trial lesson to learn more about your specific needs.
Hi! My name is Maaz and I graduated from Trinity Grammar School with an ATAR of 99.4. Since high school, I have tutored many school students both privately and as a university tutor. I am currently doing my PhD in Theoretical Physics at the University of Melbourne. While I enjoy intellectual endeavours of all kinds, I absolutely love imparting my knowledge of physics and math to students and spreading curiosity in these very intricate subjects. Having tutored many students in the past, I bring a wealth of experience that helps me identify students' weaknesses and knowledge gaps My passion lies in sharing my knowledge of physics and math, and I find it incredibly rewarding to ignite curiosity in these subjects. Through my past tutoring experiences, I've developed effective techniques to simplify complex concepts and make them more understandable. My tutoring style is all about practicality and understanding. I won't just teach you from the books – I'll work with you to grasp the core principles, build a strong foundation, and tackle challenges head-on. My goal is to help you not only improve your grades but also develop a genuine appreciation for the subjects. Let's work together to strengthen your skills, fill in the gaps, and boost your confidence. I'm here to guide you through the world of physics and math in a down-to-earth, accessible way.
Hi I'm Patrick Nguyen and year 12 S U C K E D. But tutoring made it suck less. I was fortunate enough to study under MASTERS of the VCE curriculum, tutors who had years of experience and made studying in year 12 a less gruelling and more efficient process. These are the tips I will be passing on as a tutor, along with study tricks and tips that can help with absorbing information and reducing burnout once exams come. I'm currently studying a Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne and in my first year of Science. During my time at university, I've worked as a tutor at my high school, whilst also working closely with friends and family who are going through year 12, experiences which have developed my skills as a teacher. Talking with such a wide variety of people who have or are currently doing year 12 have also allowed me to pass on tips which they have used to SHOOT through year 12 with flying colours. (When you REALLY think about it, you're getting a bunch of tutors in one!) When I'm not studying, I like to box, gym and play video games. I like to believe that I'm a pretty sociable person, finding value in all the different people and personalities I meet! The lessons I learnt throughout high school have shaped the way I think of the world and the goals I set for myself in the future, lessons which I want to share with those I teach!
