The Best Year 11-12 English tutors in Balwyn, VIC

Hi I'm Patrick Nguyen and year 12 S U C K E D. But tutoring made it suck less. I was fortunate enough to study under MASTERS of the VCE curriculum, tutors who had years of experience and made studying in year 12 a less gruelling and more efficient process. These are the tips I will be passing on as a tutor, along with study tricks and tips that can help with absorbing information and reducing burnout once exams come. I'm currently studying a Doctor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne and in my first year of Science. During my time at university, I've worked as a tutor at my high school, whilst also working closely with friends and family who are going through year 12, experiences which have developed my skills as a teacher. Talking with such a wide variety of people who have or are currently doing year 12 have also allowed me to pass on tips which they have used to SHOOT through year 12 with flying colours. (When you REALLY think about it, you're getting a bunch of tutors in one!) When I'm not studying, I like to box, gym and play video games. I like to believe that I'm a pretty sociable person, finding value in all the different people and personalities I meet! The lessons I learnt throughout high school have shaped the way I think of the world and the goals I set for myself in the future, lessons which I want to share with those I teach!

My name is Chloe Pedler and I graduated with an ATAR of 98.05, and throughout 2021 and 2022 I acquired a total of 7 Duxes at my school, including in further maths, legal studies, business management and history. I have recently finished year 12 and am looking to do a degree of Law/Philosophy, politics and economics. As well as using my experience developed through high school to assist you in improving your academics, i would also provide a mentorship with experiences as a school captain and a previous leader of a tutoring and mentoring program at my school. Enough about the boring stuff though!! I enjoy being active and playing a lot of sport including basketball and netball, and when I'm not playing sport, I'm baking or eating chocolate. Hi, I'm Keira! I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne, and I graduated as the dux of my school with an ATAR of 99.80 and a study score of 50 in Chemistry. My mission is to help you find as much enjoyment and interest in the subjects as I did in high school! Personally, I believe that we should never learn FOR exams. That's why as a tutor, I focus on helping you understand why different concepts are important and how each concept is related to one another, sometimes by going a little bit beyond the curriculum, in order to develop an interconnected and holistic understanding of each topic. Actively seeking out the different relationships and connections between concepts is also what I believe makes subjects like Chemistry and Maths so fun and interesting! At the same time, exams are undoubtedly important, which is why each lesson will also be tailored to your needs, targeting the gaps in your knowledge and the things that you might find challenging. Having survived high school, I have a wealth of exam tips and tricks to make sure you're fully equipped to beat the final boss at the end of the year! However, high school is so much more than just studying. During my final year of high school, I played piano, read constantly (I love classics and Greek mythology!), skated, baked (anyone else have an unhealthy obsession with Japanese curry bread?), and ran a STEM club at lunchtimes for younger kids.
