As a year 11 student doing ATAR, I was looking for a tutor that could help me with French. KIS Academics was incredibly helpful and fast at finding me a wace french tutor who could assist me with my studies. My tutor Eliza Carey over the past few months has helped me so much not only in French but in biology and maths as well. I’m incredibly grateful for the effort and commitment she has put into helping me be more comfortable and less stressed about the subjects I was having difficulty with. It’s been nothing but an honour to be tutored by Eliza and I strongly recommend her as a tutor
“I got the top mark for my SAC which was really nice, and I think that’s all because of my tutor”
Medha / Year 12 Student
“It's been absolutely fantastic and it's just been a very positive environment for learning”
Amanda / Parent of a Year 7 Student
Hi!! My name’s Izak; I like to think of myself as a jack of all trades. I live and teach by a simple philosophy: A complete education is a well-rounded one driven by passion. For me, this meant finding a balance between my love for STEM, literature, drama, sport, and everything in between. It can be daunting to say the least, but I want to help! Graduating in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.40 as the Dux of my high school, I excelled in an odd mix of humanities and STEM subjects. I’m now studying for a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and Economics at UQ while I occupy my spare time with writing, acting and Tae Kwon Do training. With years of tutoring and education experience (ranging from academic tutoring to science shows and martial arts), I have developed a method and style to call my own. I tailor my approach to match the individual, striving to find what inspires them and place their studies into that great big scary web we call “context”! Since graduating, I have tutored 25+ private clients in Math Methods, General English, Physics, Chemistry, English Literature, Study of Religion, and Economics. While I specialise in tutoring senior students, I have plenty of experience with younger students as well. I hope to hear from you soon! Thank you, Izak
Hi! My name is Laura and I graduated from Gilroy Santa Maria College with Dux and an ATAR of 98.85. I am from a rural town in North Queensland and have moved to Brisbane to study a Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Science at the University of Queensland. My hobbies include sport (cross country, swimming and rowing to name a few), reading and online shopping (if you can call that a hobby haha). I also love to cook and bake, especially my favourite foods! I remember the feeling after finishing my final year 12 exam, it was the true definition of a weight being lifted off your shoulders! However I will never forget all the stress and hard work leading up to them. So trust me I know exactly how you feel. My experience in high school has provided me with lifetime skills and strategies that I will pass on to you, so you too can reach your goals. As your tutor I will work with you to not only identify your strengths and weaknesses but to improve them. I will tailor my teaching to suit your needs and learning style. I am currently tutoring students from Year 5-10 in math and science as well as Year 11-12 in Specialist Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Chemistry and Physics.
Hello there! I'm James Gamack, a passionate Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Queensland, with a noteworthy ATAR score of 99.45. As devoted to academics as I am, I believe in a balanced life filled with an array of interests. I initiated my tutoring career back in Grade 12, providing academic support to my high school colleagues. This experience catalyzed my passion for tutoring, and for the past two years, I have had the pleasure of tutoring at St. John's College. The reward of assisting students to overcome their academic hurdles and reach their potential is a profound experience that continually fuels my dedication. Outside the academic world, I enjoy engaging in various activities that complement my scholarly pursuits. My hobbies include rowing, an activity that not only keeps me physically fit but also resonates with my affinity for teamwork. I also find joy in music, specifically drumming. It's this rhythm, the beats, and breaks, that I often liken to solving complex engineering problems - each has its unique tempo that leads to a harmonious solution. In summary, if you're seeking a tutor who blends academic rigor with a lighthearted approach, I am confident that I can provide the support you need. I look forward to assisting you on your path to success.
