A bit about me
Hey there, I’m Waveney!
I graduated from Danebank as a School Prefect and achieved top study scores in English Advanced & Extension 1, Maths, Physics, Studies of Religion, and Modern History.
To be honest, I loved high school, and immensely enjoyed learning both inside and outside the classroom, which took a bit of juggling, but I'm here to show you that it is possible.
For my HSC I technically completed 14 units - accelerating 3 so it's not as much of a flex as it sounds - on top of sporting and volunteer commitments (all whilst maintaining my social life). It may seem like a miracle that I survived, but with good time management, organisational skills and the ability to maintain a balanced workload, anything is possible.
Let's just say, I am well acquainted with the feeling of being overwhelmed, and as a tutor, I would love to teach you my strategies, techniques and tips for staying motivated and on top of schoolwork. I firmly believe that everyone has a unique learning style, so I am incredibly flexible - personalising lessons to your needs and subject-specific goals! Not only will you have access to my resources, writing structures, marking breakdowns, study tips and advice, you will also have access to my experience through year 12, as both a mentor and a friend for you to ask questions you're too scared to ask other people, or to just vent to when your chemistry teacher won't put enough sodium in the explosion experiment.
As I begin my journey in medicine in 2024, I continue to set aside time to go for walks, do laps in the pool, indulge in new shows with my friends, and terrorise my family with my baking.
I would love to be able to play a small part in shaping your learning journey, and look forward to (hopefully) meeting you soon!
