Hi!

My name is Pearson Chambel, and I am (hopefully) your future tutor.

So, a little bit about me. I am a student at The University of Melbourne studying Actuarial Science and Pure Mathematics. I absolutely love what I study and, over the years I have honed and refined a rock-solid study technique to maximise my performance. These techniques allowed me to get my ATAR of 99.45.

But I didn't come out of the womb a scholar. So how did I get here?

During my formative years I had a passion and curiosity for maths and STEM but, lacked the discipline and approach to learning to achieve grades that reflected this. This changed in year 9 when I started to systematically adjust my approach to study to be more, well, mathematical.
I went from simple rote learning to focusing on deep understanding of concepts. From procrastination and cramming to employing the spaced retrieval theory. Throughout high-school and beyond I have developed and crafted a study approach that can tackle any problem.
So how does this affect you?
More than just teaching content I hope to impart these study techniques onto you. That way, your capabilities as a student will be leagues ahead no matter the subject or situation.

Put simply, I will help you learn how to truly learn.

Outside of study I adore music and film, hanging out with friends and, kiteboarding or cycling (if weather permits).
