I scored the college’s highest results in Physics, Specialist Mathematics and Mathematical Methods - all subjects that I am very passionate about. Throughout my secondary schooling I learnt how to best attack my studies, managing to maintain a part-time job and social life, right up until those daunting external exams. Hi there! My name is Mascha and I can't wait to meet you and teach you using my experience in high school. I have many things that bring me joy, but most of all I love my friends, swimming, reading, and op shopping (which has unfortunately led my apartment to become the collection zone for all my quirky finds). Because I love swimming I'm also part of the UQ Swim Team. I graduated high school as Academic Captain and College Vice Captain with an ATAR of 98.85. The study skills I so ferociously pursued have been burned into my brain to this day. In high school my two big passions were english and literature, and anything medical and biology. I still love literature, however, I am obsessed with anything anatomy or physiology which is why I'm currently studying an undergraduate in Bachelor of Biomedical Science at UQ, and a postgraduate in Doctor of Medicine also at UQ. I was never a huge math fan in middle school, but when I studied Specialist Math in high school, my teacher was so amazing I not only thoroughly enjoyed the subject, but greatly exceeded too. This experience still motivates me today to share my passion for knowledge and all the skills I've amassed, and to make my tutoring experience as rewarding and enjoyable as possible for all involved.

Hi there! My name is Hoi Yan, and I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Science, major in Psychology. I have a great passion for everything learning and psychology, and I would love to help you reach your goals. I consider my high school performance a unique one which I am very grateful to have experienced. I graduated from Brisbane State High School with a 98.3 ATAR. However, you might be surprised to hear that my predicted ATAR was a 90 in grade 11. The only reason why my final ATAR increased by almost 9 points is that I learnt to "play" by the academic rules of QCAA. I acutely empathise with the struggle of studying and writing assignments for hours on end, only to achieve a mark which does not reflect your time and effort. I believe I can guide you to complete assessment in a way that generates the greatest yield out of your effort. Outside of school, I like going to the gym, playing social sport and listening to music. I find that once a genuine passion is developed for the things you commit to, managing the time for these activities become less of a task and more of a natural habit.
