Hi! My name is Teresa Nguyen and I am currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne. I LOVE mathematics and it has always been my favourite subject at school. In Year 11 I completed Further Maths 3/4 scoring a raw 50, alongside a raw 50 in Legal studies with a premiers award in the same year whilst working 2 jobs. Education has always been something I am passionate and excel in and I would love to spread my skills and love for maths and learning with others! Apart from my academic achievements, I have worked as children's party host for over a year, which takes a LOT of energy and patience with children. This is extremely helpful in tutoring, helping me be an amazing tutor who can interact and engage with students, whilst helping them excel in mathematics with a personalised tutoring plan. My life isn't all about studying though, my hobbies are watching movies, playing games and playing with my adorable pug puppy :). I strongly believe that the most important part of excelling in maths is to understand the concepts, rather than studying all day everyday and so as a tutor, my main goal is to help students really UNDERSTAND the mathematics.

Further mathematics is a subject I'm especially passionate about because of its practicality and usefulness even after you graduate! My lessons usually involve going through theory and a lot of practice questions from various past vce exams and sacs so that you are best equipped to handle any problem. Hey there! My name is Serena. I graduated as the Music Captain and have obtained numerous subject awards throughout high school, including being the inaugural winner of the Dr Susan Stevens Principal Award in year 12. Throughout primary school and high school, I have always accelerated in subjects such as Music, Maths and Science subjects which inspired me to pick the subjects that I completed: Music Performance, Math Methods, Specialist Maths, Psychology, Chemistry and English. I aim to teach you using my experience and study skills obtained in high school. I have also been teaching music instruments, music theories, and subjects since I was in year 9. I am currently a biomedical science student at Monash. When I get a break, I love to practice my instruments and play with my dogs. I've got two toy poodles! Fun fact about myself, I actually play three instruments (Cello, Piano and the Harp) in which all of my instruments have either completed or currently working to complete my Licentiates or Fellowship degrees.
