Hello! I’m Jerry Yip, a 2022 graduate of Prince Alfred College (Adelaide) with an ATAR of 98.55. I’m a Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics and EAL tutor in both VCE and IB curriculum. I did the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in my last two year of high school and achieve merits in Mathematics, Economics and Chemistry and Sports Science. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Biomedicine in the University of Melbourne, with an interest in biomedical research. Despite the high workload in high school, I find a way to balance between my hobbies (reading and running) and my academic commitments and I find that this is my key to my success. Personally I find that maintaining a normal lifestyle can help you to achieve better academic outcomes. In terms of study techniques, I think the key to success is built around these four components. Build a genuine interest in your chosen subjects, strengthen your foundation of the subject’s nature, knowing what assessors are looking for, and mastering effective study techniques. I would like to use my experiences from high school and university to share my knowledge and experience to help you all! Hi there! I'm Harrison and I graduated from Scotch College with a 99.95 ATAR. At the moment, I am offering VCE Biology tutoring for Units 3&4. I completed VCE Biology in 2018 as the Dux of Biology at Scotch, scoring a raw 50 and the Premier’s Award for my efforts. Currently, I am a student at Monash University studying medicine, further consolidating my Biology knowledge at a university level. Additionally, I am also actively involved in the authoring of lessons, practice exams, and SAC questions. Therefore, with that experience, I understand what VCAA examiners are looking for in student responses and can help guide students to write exactly what they need to achieve all the possible marks on the end-of-year exam. School is hard. It really is sometimes. Juggling 5+ different subjects, each with different homework tasks, assessments and expectations, on top of sport or music or drama, plus (trying) to have a social life, makes school seem all but impossible.
