Hey, I'm Chaz! I’m currently studying a dual degree of Engineering and Information Technology at the Queensland University of Technology. I graduated St Joseph’s College Gregory Terrace with a final score of 96 in Physics and an ATAR of 99.50. Physics and Mathematics hold a special place in my heart, and I want to use that passion to help you succeed in your studies. Outside of study, I love to play video games, play the guitar, and cook. Trust me, I understand all too well how stressful secondary school can be, my goal as your tutor is to remove that stress from the equation. It was my amazing teachers and mentors who taught me to hone my study skills and fulfill my potential. I fully appreciate the value and influence a tutor has in your development both academically and personally. Every student is different so our lessons will be tailored to you, weather it is focusing on completing homework, breaking down though concepts or just having someone to support you. During my senior year, I was a house captain, part of my role was to assist the younger grades with their homework once a week. Hi there! I’m Hannah. As a recent high school graduate, the stress and hustle of getting through school is all too familiar. The pressure to achieve top marks can be pretty overwhelming and it is my goal as a tutor to help students navigate this. I graduated high school with an ATAR of 99.85 as Co-Dux and Academic Captain. Currently, I’m studying a Doctor of Medicine, having just completed a Bachelor of Medical Science so I have a pretty big passion for all things science. Though I found ways to enjoy my study in my senior years at high school, it took a bit of trial and error to understand how to achieve this. Through devising ways to efficiently break down and study content, I was able to achieve high results in my subjects like Mathematical Methods (99) and Literature (100). I am well too aware of how gruelling schoolwork can be when ineffective study techniques are combined with confusing subject matter. I hope to fix this. It is my strongest belief that if we don’t understand a concept, it is not because we are bad at that subject. It is just that our teachers are not teaching to our individual learning styles. So, my tutoring is always student led- I adjust to what works for you. I prioritise finding an efficiency in your study that will leave time to balance school with your extracurricular commitments and social engagements. Hi! I'm Andrea and I graduated high school as runner-up dux with an atar of 99.80. I got the highest subject scores for english, chemistry, physics, mathematical methods and specialist mathematics. I also got perfect scores on the internal assessment for english, physics, mathematical methods and specialist mathematics. I loved all my subjects, but my favourite was definitely maths, which is why I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Mathematics at the University of Queensland. Aside from my academic endeavours, I loved playing water polo, going to the beach and spending time with my friends. Throughout my senior schooling, I faced my fair share of challenges. Whilst this was distressing at the time, when I reflect on this, I can appreciate that each challenge provided me with a unique opportunity to learn and grow. I am eager to use my first-hand experience to help others navigate the obstacles of the new QCE system. My aim as a tutor is to help each student succeed academically by providing them with a learning experience that is specifically tailored to them. I am excited to watch my students achieve their academic goals, and feel privileged that I get to be the person to help them get there.
