Hey there, I’m Aland! I’m here to mentor you through the challenges of school and guide you towards academic success! I graduated from my high school as 2nd Dux with a 99.90 ATAR, and am currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine as a Chancellor’s Scholar at the University of Melbourne. Having accumulated 3 years experience of teaching, I am very capable of personalising my lessons to YOUR style of learning. My favourite subjects to teach are maths, physics and business studies. Online, I can write on a virtual whiteboard (using an iPad, so you know it'll be clear and legible!) to explain essential concepts and exam-style questions. Hello! I’m Jerry Yip, a 2022 graduate of Prince Alfred College (Adelaide) with an ATAR of 98.55. I’m a Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics and EAL tutor in both VCE and IB curriculum. I did the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in my last two year of high school and achieve merits in Mathematics, Economics and Chemistry and Sports Science. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Biomedicine in the University of Melbourne, with an interest in biomedical research. Despite the high workload in high school, I find a way to balance between my hobbies (reading and running) and my academic commitments and I find that this is my key to my success. Personally I find that maintaining a normal lifestyle can help you to achieve better academic outcomes. In terms of study techniques, I think the key to success is built around these four components. Build a genuine interest in your chosen subjects, strengthen your foundation of the subject’s nature, knowing what assessors are looking for, and mastering effective study techniques. I would like to use my experiences from high school and university to share my knowledge and experience to help you all! During our session, I will tailor made our lessons to ensure you are on track with your current studies and any upcoming assessments. My number one priority would be helping you to understand key contents and ideas well and develop approaches to tackle different type of assessments. This will be done by working through practice problems and past exams, with a comprehensive collection of notes and past exams that I’ve accumulated throughout my times in school.
