As a year 11 student doing ATAR, I was looking for a tutor that could help me with French. KIS Academics was incredibly helpful and fast at finding me a wace french tutor who could assist me with my studies. My tutor Eliza Carey over the past few months has helped me so much not only in French but in biology and maths as well. I’m incredibly grateful for the effort and commitment she has put into helping me be more comfortable and less stressed about the subjects I was having difficulty with. It’s been nothing but an honour to be tutored by Eliza and I strongly recommend her as a tutor
“I got the top mark for my SAC which was really nice, and I think that’s all because of my tutor”
Medha / Year 12 Student
“It's been absolutely fantastic and it's just been a very positive environment for learning”
Amanda / Parent of a Year 7 Student
Hi! I'm Andrea and I graduated high school as runner-up dux with an atar of 99.80. I got the highest subject scores for english, chemistry, physics, mathematical methods and specialist mathematics. I also got perfect scores on the internal assessment for english, physics, mathematical methods and specialist mathematics. I loved all my subjects, but my favourite was definitely maths, which is why I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Mathematics at the University of Queensland. Aside from my academic endeavours, I loved playing water polo, going to the beach and spending time with my friends. Throughout my senior schooling, I faced my fair share of challenges. Whilst this was distressing at the time, when I reflect on this, I can appreciate that each challenge provided me with a unique opportunity to learn and grow. I am eager to use my first-hand experience to help others navigate the obstacles of the new QCE system. My aim as a tutor is to help each student succeed academically by providing them with a learning experience that is specifically tailored to them. I am excited to watch my students achieve their academic goals, and feel privileged that I get to be the person to help them get there.
Hi! I’m David, and I am currently studying a dual Bachelor of Mathematics/Computer Science at UQ. My high school education was filled with passionate learners at Queensland Academy for Science, Mathematics and Technology and I thoroughly enjoyed the notoriously challenging International Baccalaureate (IB) program taught there, achieving an IB 40 or an ATAR 98.05 as equivalent for the time. I have always been passionate about mathematics and have participated in many competitions throughout high school, such as: First Place at UQ/QAMT Problem Solving Competition Year 7-8 division, 2016. Participated in the pathway program run by the Australian Mathematical Olympiad Committee, 2017-2020. Participated in the Australian Mathematics Olympiad competition, 2020. Perfect Score in the Computational and Algorithmic Thinking competition, 2021. As such, my understanding of mathematics is detailed and I believe that through a friendly approach to tutoring, I can help students better understand mathematics. Throughout high school, I would always look for the best ways to study efficiently, as although I enjoyed learning I despised slogging through work at home. So I think I can provide great ways of speeding up studying and learning to find work more enjoyable. I have a variety of hobbies and love to seek out new things constantly. However, some interests stay put, such as my love for electronic music, chess and table tennis.
Hey! My name is Tiana and I graduated from All Hallows’ School and successfully navigated the ATAR system. I’m now studying Law and Business. In high school, I excelled in the humanities, achieving 98% in Literature and 94% in English. These were my favourite subjects, and I looked forward to these classes each day! I know that English and Literature can be quite subjective and not everyone’s cup of tea, so I’m here to share the analytical and creative skills I’ve mastered, and to help foster your love for the subjects! I have had lots of experience mentoring students, starting when I was in grade 8. Over the years, I have mentored students of all ages and successfully tutored students in English and Literature, helping their grades go from Cs to A+s! With me, we’ll go through content and skills thoroughly, using clear notes and explanations before completing practice questions. I am here to help you understand your texts and master those important skills that will help you hit those top marks. Throughout high school, I achieved many academic awards, whilst balancing this with extracurriculars such as volunteer work, soccer and volleyball. The cherry on top was that I was house captain for my final year, so I’m the person to come to for help with time and stress management! We can create weekly schedules together, and I’ll help you break down your assignments into manageable chunks and fit in free time for YOU! I look forward to getting to know you and helping you achieve your goals!
