As a year 11 student doing ATAR, I was looking for a tutor that could help me with French. KIS Academics was incredibly helpful and fast at finding me a wace french tutor who could assist me with my studies. My tutor Eliza Carey over the past few months has helped me so much not only in French but in biology and maths as well. I’m incredibly grateful for the effort and commitment she has put into helping me be more comfortable and less stressed about the subjects I was having difficulty with. It’s been nothing but an honour to be tutored by Eliza and I strongly recommend her as a tutor
“I got the top mark for my SAC which was really nice, and I think that’s all because of my tutor”
Medha / Year 12 Student
“It's been absolutely fantastic and it's just been a very positive environment for learning”
Amanda / Parent of a Year 7 Student
Hello! I’m Jerry Yip, a 2022 graduate of Prince Alfred College (Adelaide) with an ATAR of 98.55. I’m a Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics and EAL tutor in both VCE and IB curriculum. I did the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in my last two year of high school and achieve merits in Mathematics, Economics and Chemistry and Sports Science. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Biomedicine in the University of Melbourne, with an interest in biomedical research. Despite the high workload in high school, I find a way to balance between my hobbies (reading and running) and my academic commitments and I find that this is my key to my success. Personally I find that maintaining a normal lifestyle can help you to achieve better academic outcomes. In terms of study techniques, I think the key to success is built around these four components. Build a genuine interest in your chosen subjects, strengthen your foundation of the subject’s nature, knowing what assessors are looking for, and mastering effective study techniques. I would like to use my experiences from high school and university to share my knowledge and experience to help you all! During our session, I will tailor made our lessons to ensure you are on track with your current studies and any upcoming assessments. My number one priority would be helping you to understand key contents and ideas well and develop approaches to tackle different type of assessments. This will be done by working through practice problems and past exams, with a comprehensive collection of notes and past exams that I’ve accumulated throughout my times in school. I look forward to meeting you and give you a hand in your academic journey. If you want to further discuss more, feel free to contact me and we can organise a trial lesson to learn more about your specific needs.

Hi! My name is Cara Siren and I graduated in 2021 from Clayfield College in Brisbane! As Dux and Academic Captain of my school, learning and teaching has always been a significant part of my life. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine and hope to progress into the Doctor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne- I am majoring in biomedical engineering systems in my undergraduate degree. Throughout the entirety of secondary school, I thoroughly enjoyed studying STEM subjects but I also loved reading and writing in my spare time. I was also part of debating, peer tutoring, titration and two choirs. I have two and a half years of tutoring experience in science, mathematics and English. As your tutor, I would aim to assist you in every way that I can and truly try to inspire you to achieve your highest potential! I look forward to helping you with assignments, preparing for exams or even just being role model to direct you when you need.
