As a year 11 student doing ATAR, I was looking for a tutor that could help me with French. KIS Academics was incredibly helpful and fast at finding me a wace french tutor who could assist me with my studies. My tutor Eliza Carey over the past few months has helped me so much not only in French but in biology and maths as well. I’m incredibly grateful for the effort and commitment she has put into helping me be more comfortable and less stressed about the subjects I was having difficulty with. It’s been nothing but an honour to be tutored by Eliza and I strongly recommend her as a tutor
“I got the top mark for my SAC which was really nice, and I think that’s all because of my tutor”

“It's been absolutely fantastic and it's just been a very positive environment for learning”
Amanda / Parent of a Year 7 Student
Hi there! My name is Yash and I'm currently studying the Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne. I really enjoyed my time in high school, and by passing on to you the techniques and skills I learned during this time, I hope you'll have just as great a time as I did. During the start of high school, I wasn't the biggest fan of Chemistry, however by adapting my approach to the subject, I was not only able to achieve great results in Chemistry, but I also thoroughly enjoyed learning the subject. My two main goals as your tutor will be to clearly and comprehensively explain key ideas and to also systematically teach you how to answer common VCAA questions. A lot of the times, students find it difficult to word their answers, so I also place a special emphasis on explaining exactly how to word your answers, this makes sure you can correctly convey the knowledge that we build up throughout the year. I'll also make sure to give you my notes, practice SACs and exams so you have plenty of resources to nail the course. Hopefully I can speak to some of you soon :)
Hey Hey Hey! I'm Simon and currently study bachelor of vision science/Master of optometry at Deakin Uni. (pretty much just studying to become an optometrist) and it is my goal to help you become more confident with VCE. I'll be completely transparent, I was never the 'smartest' student around, I was never 'gifted' with the knowledge like others and I can personally confirm that I was NOT confident during my studies in VCE. I didn't even make it into selective schools. But you know what? I used these hurdles to push myself even further, knowing full well that I would need to work twice as hard as others to achieve the score that I dreamed of. Through this, I was able to score perfect scores in Further maths, and my school's chemistry, physics, and further maths DUX, with an ATAR of 98.65 I believe that the obstacles that i faced during my VCE experience will resonate with others, therefore allowing me to share my experiences and how i overcame my 'fear' of VCE from someone who has already completed their senior year. The most important qualities of a tutor is to guide their students along their journey through their final years of schooling and that is something which I'll accomplish. Whether its help with a topic that you’re unsure of, or problems with school, I’m confident that we will become a great team. I am also able to provide assistance on how to answer questions, along with numerous SAC & EXAM style questions. Besides from tutoring, I’m just a regular person! loving badminton, playing games and procrastinating (Okay, maybe a bit too much)
Hi! My name's Lola and I'm here to help my students discover a passion for English and the power of story, whether through Shakespeare or Dr. Seuss. I graduated class valedictorian from one of Victoria's four selective entry schools with an ATAR of 98.85, and was featured in the VCE Season of Excellence for my work in Theatre Studies. School was a really positive experience for me, largely due to a series of dedicated and empathetic teachers, and I want to make sure that everyone gets as much out of it as I did. We're all born loving stories - it's part of what makes us human. In my classes, students relearn the love of English, Literature and English Language, developing valuable analytical skills and practices to gain deeper insight into how these stories work. I also teach the articulation and refinement of this analysis, ensuring that students can not only think well but express what it is they think clearly and effectively. To this end, I highly personalise each class and make sure that, whatever it is a student is struggling with in the subject, we can overcome it together. Currently, I'm studying a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne with a major in English and Theatre Studies. In my spare time, I publish a weekly poetry blog and write for the theatrical scene, some of my latest work being included in the Sydney Theatre Award-nominated 'The Monologue Collective.' I've always found joy in English, and I can't wait to share that joy with your student!
