As a year 11 student doing ATAR, I was looking for a tutor that could help me with French. KIS Academics was incredibly helpful and fast at finding me a wace french tutor who could assist me with my studies. My tutor Eliza Carey over the past few months has helped me so much not only in French but in biology and maths as well. I’m incredibly grateful for the effort and commitment she has put into helping me be more comfortable and less stressed about the subjects I was having difficulty with. It’s been nothing but an honour to be tutored by Eliza and I strongly recommend her as a tutor
“I got the top mark for my SAC which was really nice, and I think that’s all because of my tutor”

“It's been absolutely fantastic and it's just been a very positive environment for learning”

Hi there! My name’s Jakob and I’m studying Law and International Relations at Monash University. I love tutoring because it gives me the chance to pass on the knowledge and skills I’ve developed throughout my education, to help give you the best chance at success. I have over 1000 hours of tutoring experience working with a wide range of students. Seeing people improve their scores and gain confidence never gets old! I always tailor my tutoring to the individual student I’m working with because no one is the same and everyone has their own unique skills, abilities and needs. Going through the stress and pressures of high school is not easy and I hope I can help make the experience just a little bit better for you. Outside of my academic pursuits, I love playing and watching lots of different sports. I’ll always be happy to chat about what’s going on in the world of footy, cricket, soccer or tennis! I also love to travel and look forward to sharing travel experiences with you!
Hi, I'm Vijai and I'm passionate about tutoring! I graduated from Melbourne High School with an ATAR of 99.75 and am currently studying a Bachelor of Science at The University of Melbourne, planning on doing a maths related major. I'm enthusiastic about maths and love the process of breaking down tricky problems and concepts, and solving them. I have experience in tutoring students in a variety of year levels and am focused on really building strong rapport with students, helping to understand their specific needs and tailoring classes to best help them achieve their academic goals. Throughout high school, I made sure not to rush through learning content, but instead understand concepts holistically so that I wasn't spending hours memorising formulas. This helped me build a deep understanding of different ideas as well as learn tricks and tips to solve problems accurately and efficiently. These methods are particularly useful in helping students achieve high marks and succeed. Outside of academics, I love sport including tennis, cricket and AFL. I also like watching TV shows and movies as well as hanging out with friends. Please feel free to reach out and I'm looking forward to meeting you!
Hi everyone, I'm Michal! I graduated from John Monash Science School with an ATAR of 98.90 as well as being one of three recipients of my school's subject award for Specialist Mathematics and the captain of the Australian team at the 2021 International Young Physicists' Tournament. In that time, I found myself amazed by the unexpected elegance of maths and the surprisingly natural ways it presents itself in the real world... as well as how criminally boring and bland textbooks and the study design can often make it up to be. This is why I've taken a pledge to stand firm against these endless Legions of Lame by giving the fun and even beautiful side of math a chance whilst still teaching the content that's most important and tailored to your needs. You too can join the fight against the Forces of Mathematical Evil! I'm currently studying an Honours bachelor of Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering at Monash University. I'm also a member of the student team Monash High Powered Rocketry, being part of the Dynamics subteam where I work on coding our rocket trajectory simulator as well as doing the analysis of our Computational Fluid Dynamics (is the wind slowing our rocket down too much?). Going down this rabbit hole has made me discover even more that maths is just an unnecessarily pretentious way to say extremely obvious things like "If thing is heavy, it's harder to stop" (mathematicians only made math appear as confusing as it is just so they can look smart in my humble opinion. That one's F = ma by the way). Stopping to think about what the math actually says on a down-to-earth level is an awesome skill which teachers and VCAA exam writers HATE. I'll teach you this one simple trick too :))) If you couldn't already tell, I (somewhat shamefully) admit I'm a bit of a nerd, being a huge fan of Star Trek, Star Wars, Tarantino and plenty of video games. I love chatting about this kind of stuff with my mates and (if you'll indulge me) may make its way into our classes - expect to see the Enterprise and the rest of my cast get on plenty of hijinks in my custom-written practice questions and SACs!
