As a year 11 student doing ATAR, I was looking for a tutor that could help me with French. KIS Academics was incredibly helpful and fast at finding me a wace french tutor who could assist me with my studies. My tutor Eliza Carey over the past few months has helped me so much not only in French but in biology and maths as well. I’m incredibly grateful for the effort and commitment she has put into helping me be more comfortable and less stressed about the subjects I was having difficulty with. It’s been nothing but an honour to be tutored by Eliza and I strongly recommend her as a tutor
“I got the top mark for my SAC which was really nice, and I think that’s all because of my tutor”

“It's been absolutely fantastic and it's just been a very positive environment for learning”

Hello, I'm very pleased to meet you and introduce myself! I graduated in 2020 and amidst a pandemic and the challenges of being the first ATAR cohort of Queensland, received an ATAR of 99.95. Furthermore, I was awarded by the QCAA as the top student in Queensland, placing me atop roughly 50, 000 graduating students in my cohort. I am a Vice-Chancellor's Scholar at The University of Queensland, studying to become a doctor and I represent ~40, 000 university students as an elected member of the Academic Board - having a lot of experience in the secrets and strategies to optimise your scores, but more importantly, help you achieve your goals. When I'm not working, I love to play all sports: you name it and I have competed in it. I also love debating and help maintain a personal Bonsai collection. I'd love to get to share my experiences with you and learn more about your hobbies to best help you blend your passions with your studies. I have the pleasure of being your mentor and I honour my position so rest assured that your performance and future is placed in the best hands.
Hey everyone! My name is Dale, and I'm here to help you get through the trials and tribulations of high school with the best academic results possible. I am currently a medical student at Griffith University (Gold Coast campus), having previously acquired a Bachelor of Medical Science in 2021. As such, whether you are a budding pre-med or a student wanting to fill in those pesky knowledge gaps, I am your go-to guy for all things Biology and Chemistry, and have extensive experience in tutoring these subjects at all year levels. But what about my time in high-school? During my time at Maroochydore State High School, mathematics and the physical sciences were always areas of interests for me; however, I found that my most effective study was done out of the classroom. The reason for this is clear: self-directed learning cultivates understanding of academic concepts, rather than rote memorization. I often found it frustrating when teachers would explain concepts in vague, unclear terms, with little to no discussion of the actual applications of what we were learning. Therefore, as a tutor, my primary focus for my students is to provide resources and strategies that encourage critical thinking and deductive reasoning, in order to develop a learning framework that they can carry with them well after our tutoring sessions have concluded. Confidence is the name of the game - and with it, learning becomes a privilege, not a chore. By optimising my study strategies in high school, I managed to score top marks in my grade for both Biology and Chemistry, and ultimately attained an ATAR of 99.75. It took a lot of trial and error of different study techniques and many hours of external study to get these results - luckily, I'll help you develop the right study schedule and elucidate any concepts that you find difficult to understand, so that you don't have to waste your after-school hours perusing the depths of the Google algorithm. Cheers!
Hi there! I'm Ben and I graduated as part of the first QLD cohort to "guinea pig" the new ATAR system. I graduated from Brisbane Grammar School as a Prefect of the School and with an ATAR of 99.85. I've been tutoring students from a variety of different year levels (7-12) for over two years now. As a tutor, I endeavour to instil confidence into the subjects students are tackling. High school can be a tough gig, but I'm here to help you develop and practice good study habits, give you tips and tricks with exams and share my experiences (some funny ones!) and journey throughout high school. I've just completed my Bachelor of Medical Science at Griffith University with a final GPA of 7.0 and am progressing into the Doctor of Medicine in 2023. Apart from university work, I enjoy playing guitar and piano (I'm currently writing a song but it isn't really getting anywhere haha – I'll keep you posted though 😁), and I love a good game of basketball.
