Additionally, in my gap year this year, I spent time in the Royal Australian Air Force as a Cyberspace Warfare Officer, completing basic training there. I now manage a variety of mental health and life crises, as well as active suicide interventions, for Lifeline's 13 11 14 phone service -- probably the most fulfilling thing I have ever done. I believe in a wholistic approach with a focus on a healthy mindset alongside strong content knowledge and problem-solving skills. Hi Guys! I'm Ruby and I graduated with an ATAR of 99.35. I am currently studying medicine at Bond University and have achieved the Executive Dean's Award for academic excellence throughout my degree. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, dancing, and going to the gym. I am also co-president of the Dermatology Society at Uni and am often busy organising events. I have extensive experience in the tutoring industry as a teacher and a student, so I know what makes a good tutor. Throughout my schooling, I struggled with time management and procrastination, and I found that having a weekly tutoring session would help to keep me on track, if not ahead of the curriculum at school. I was also awarded the Governor’s Commendation for recognition of my extracurricular achievements, particularly noting representation in international robotics competitions and tertiary-level research projects. Moreover, I have volunteered countless hours to work with younger students at my school during academic support sessions, coached Olympiad/debating teams and conducted over 100 hours of tuition classes.   When it comes to tutoring, I draw inspiration from Richard Feynman, or ‘The Great Explainer’ as he is known.
