As a year 11 student doing ATAR, I was looking for a tutor that could help me with French. KIS Academics was incredibly helpful and fast at finding me a wace french tutor who could assist me with my studies. My tutor Eliza Carey over the past few months has helped me so much not only in French but in biology and maths as well. I’m incredibly grateful for the effort and commitment she has put into helping me be more comfortable and less stressed about the subjects I was having difficulty with. It’s been nothing but an honour to be tutored by Eliza and I strongly recommend her as a tutor
“I got the top mark for my SAC which was really nice, and I think that’s all because of my tutor”
Medha / Year 12 Student
“It's been absolutely fantastic and it's just been a very positive environment for learning”
Amanda / Parent of a Year 7 Student
Hello, I'm JenuI - I graduated from Ballarat and Clarendon College with an ATAR of 99.85, completing with 48 and above raw study scores in Physics, Chemistry, Literature and Further Math. This includes a premier’s award for Further as well as extension math at RMIT with a perfect 4.0 GPA and a Vice Chancellor’s Award. However, my proudest school achievement is probably that my literature essay features in the 2022 Literature VCAA examination report. I have extensive leadership and interpersonal experience from being School Captain of Ballarat Clarendon College, Victoria's top performing school in 2022. Additionally, in my gap year this year, I spent time in the Royal Australian Air Force as a Cyberspace Warfare Officer, completing basic training there. I now manage a variety of mental health and life crises, as well as active suicide interventions, for Lifeline's 13 11 14 phone service -- probably the most fulfilling thing I have ever done. I believe in a wholistic approach with a focus on a healthy mindset alongside strong content knowledge and problem-solving skills. You will get both knowledge of your chosen subject as well as well as a new perspective on how to care for yourself and your capability in one of the most challenging periods of your life. I intend to pursue medicine next year and as such completed the UCAT with an above top 1% mark of 3330, scoring perfect 900s in QR and AR as well as 800 in DM and 730 in VR; I am willing to tutor this as well.
Hi Guys! I'm Ruby and I graduated with an ATAR of 99.35. I am currently studying medicine at Bond University and have achieved the Executive Dean's Award for academic excellence throughout my degree. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, dancing, and going to the gym. I am also co-president of the Dermatology Society at Uni and am often busy organising events. I have extensive experience in the tutoring industry as a teacher and a student, so I know what makes a good tutor. Additionally, I have experience teaching group dance classes thus I am comfortable teaching groups of students. I am offering small group classes as well as private tutoring. Throughout my schooling, I struggled with time management and procrastination, and I found that having a weekly tutoring session would help to keep me on track, if not ahead of the curriculum at school. I've learned that the key to success is not only in the student's knowledge of the content but also in their confidence and exam technique. I aim to strengthen all of these aspects during my lessons. I will adapt my teaching style to whatever suits you best however I aim to have engaging and interactive lessons. I am friendly and encouraging, with me no question is a stupid question!
Greetings! I’m Ashwin, your friendly neighbourhood med student and your potential academic confidante. The transition from high school to medical school has been quite the ride, and I’m here to share the strategies, resources and sanity-saving tips that got me through it all. I graduated with a 99.35 ATAR in year 11 and was the Dux of my school, receiving multiple subject prizes for the top score. I was also awarded the Governor’s Commendation for recognition of my extracurricular achievements, particularly noting representation in international robotics competitions and tertiary-level research projects. Moreover, I have volunteered countless hours to work with younger students at my school during academic support sessions, coached Olympiad/debating teams and conducted over 100 hours of tuition classes. When it comes to tutoring, I draw inspiration from Richard Feynman, or ‘The Great Explainer’ as he is known. A tutor in Feynman’s vein will break down an abstract STEM concept into simple components and provide a diagrammatic representation or a simple analogy to bring the concept into focus, while ensuring comprehension through discussion, concept-check questions and fun activities. I will tailor my style to fit your specific needs and equip you with a comprehensive understanding of marking criteria and exam/test structures so you can maximise your opportunities. In my spare time, when I’m not watching lectures at 2x speed or conducting research, you can find me re-reading Dostoyevsky novels, building/programming robots or playing chess. What makes me tick? Witnessing your success! There is nothing more rewarding than seeing you flourish and achieve your goals. Please feel free to reach out for a chat or to ask any questions you may have. Looking forward to joining you on your academic journey!
