The odds are stacked up against you at no fault of your own. You can pester your teacher.You can buy textbook after textbook and answer question after question. But in this subject, none of that guarantees success.

How do I know? I can tell you from experience.

I saw it in my own classroom happening to my friends, almost happening to me. The majority of students give up on chemistry halfway through the year

"That'll be in my bottom two anyway"

In this subject there are obvious winners or losers, and you don't have to wait until results come out to tell. June, July, August; this is when students start to drop like flies - giving up on their hopes of succeeding in chemistry.
By the time we get to that stage in the year, it'll be too late. If you want to succeed, you must act now.

Think about this. If half of WA's entire Chemistry cohort give up halfway through the year, you as a student can interpret that in two ways.

1. You can scare yourself into thinking "I'm digging myself a grave and the year's only just begun"

2. Or you can adopt a winners mindset. You can listen and learn from people who have been there before and achieved what you want to achieve. If half of the state gives up on chemistry, that means that come exam time, you're only competing against the half of Western Australia's students that are taking chemistry seriously.

The system may not be in your favour. But the odds are.

You just need the correct strategies, resources and mentorship to guide you to the finish line. I can give you all of this.
