Within this high performance program, I precisely break down the HSC performance standards, elucidating what exactly is expected of you in English Advanced. Once you have internalised the framework of all the touchstones and paradigms on which you are assessed, I have absolutely no doubts you will crush your assessments.

Languages shape the way we think, and dictate what we can think about. I truly believe developing the ability to read critically, think deeply, and articulate your arguments cogently is the most important thing one can strive to achieve in high school, as it is a skill you will carry with you for the rest of your life. If you want to learn how to think, you should learn how to write. Having a well-ordered thought process translates into efficiently communicating your messages or ideas to other people. That is a skill that 90% of the population don’t possess, since most of the problems of the world lie in communication, both from writing and speaking. Writing makes you a better critical-thinker, clearer communicator, and decision-maker, and a person who can formulate and communicate the best arguments almost always wins the case. And that's exactly what this course sets out to do - to equip you to succeed both within HSC and far, far beyond.
