Grade 9 maths isn't necessarily hard maths.

At least, not when you compare it to the kind of stuff you learn in Year 12.

So if it's not that hard, you shouldn't worry about it too much, right? No need to do any study and definitely no need for a tutor.

Well, Grade 9 maths isn't too hard. But it IS important.

You see, the thing about mathematics is that no topic, no concept and no year level's maths is completely unique. Every single concept builds upon things you've learnt in the past, no matter what year level you're in and what topic you're studying.

Maths is cumulative - it's always adding new knowledge to the things you learned beforehand.

In some ways, that's a really good thing. It means that every time you learn a new concept, it'll be based on ideas that have been discussed in the past, and new concepts you learn will always be useful later on.

But it can also be really, really devastating.

Missing one topic or failing to understand a single part of the maths curriculum can mean that you struggle with maths not only now, but in years to come. Gaps in your knowledge in Year 9 can continue to cause problems all the way up until Year 12.

Which is why Year 9 maths is so important.

It might not seem like it right now but building strong foundations and numeracy skills in Grade 9 will really set you up for success in later years.

Not taking the subject seriously though will set you up for failure.

In this course I will teach you the key concepts that you'll need to know going forwards in maths - the topics that will come up time and time again in later years as you build your knowledge and when maths seriously starts to get more difficult.

Get a head start early, put in the work and build your foundational knowledge. It might not mean too much this year but trust me, you'll be thanking me in a few years time.
