I’ve graduated with an ATAR of 99.95 and a Governor of South Australia Commendation Award for outstanding results in SACE and achieving multiple merits. Although it might sound hard to achieve, I believe you are very capable of achieving that and more with the right study methods and time management skills.
I’m currently a tutor in my previous college for stage one and two Biology and Maths Methods which has provided me with valuable experience and feedback, and lots of my students have achieved merits and A or above grade.
While memorisation in Biology could be managable, alone won't get you high A and a lot of students are shocked by their mark on the final exam. That's why I focus on teaching students how to structure their answers appropriately for each question type and target the key words markers are looking for to achieve the highest mark possible.
In the case of Maths Methods, understanding fundementals of the topic helps build complex comprehension which is gained through solving tricky questions, higher in level than those of the textbook. In our sessions, we'll look into exam-style questions and make sure you have solid understanding and application skills of the topic.
Since high grades are not achieved by only studying content, I’ll guide you through how to study, evaluate your progress and overcome your weaknesses, which are essential to becoming an independent learner in the future.
Apart from study and work, I like to spend my time reading books or playing sports.
