A bit about me
Hello! I’m Charlotte, and I graduated from Kingaroy State High School with an ATAR of 99.8. The obvious course of action after six years of high school was six more years of study, so I am now undertaking a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at James Cook University. I hope to become a doctor and impact the lives of patients, but for now, I am beyond privileged to impact the lives of students as a tutor at KIS Academics.
Whether you are struggling with a particular subject or want to graduate with perfect marks, I can’t wait to help you through your schooling journey. Throughout high school, I developed my own study techniques which helped me achieve the following results: Chemistry-100; Mathematical Methods-99; General English-99; Specialist Mathematics-98; Biology-98; and Physics-98. I also received a QCE Distinguished Academic Achiever Award- one of 45 in the state! I attained a UCAT score of 3310, so I can give aspiring med students tips for navigating the UCAT and getting into medicine.
Although there were periods in year 12 when it felt like I was spending more time with my methods textbook then my friends, I believe that balance is important. When I’m not studying, I enjoy music (listening to indie folk and playing saxophone and piano), reading (anything from Tolstoy to Riordan), writing (I self-published my first novel when I was 14, plot holes and everything), art (crochet, embroidery, painting), and of course, spending time with my family and friends.
I believe every student should have someone to turn to when they are struggling, and I want to be that person for you. As your tutor, I will work with you to help you understand difficult concepts. I’m looking forward to meeting you!
