Hello, Guys! 👋

Hello! My name is Zichen, a passionate and experienced tutor specialising in Maths, Psychology, and Biology, and I am ready to bring you enthusiasm, education, and empowerment!

Graduating with a 97.55 ATAR and study scores of 45 in General Maths and Biology and 44 in Psychology, I am now a student at the University of Melbourne undertaking a Graduate Package in Engineering (majoring in civil engineering) - I hope to tutor you today and build skyscrapers tomorrow!

I love tutoring. Perhaps my favourite thing about tutoring is how it differs from teaching in a school setting. Rather than 'I speak, you listen', I love how tailored I can be as a tutor. I am able to assess a student's needs on an individual level and design a 'curriculum' perfectly suited to the student's learning progress. In my lessons, your learning experience is completely unique to you, shaped by you, and built by us. The word 'Learn' traces back to the Proto-Indo-European word _leis, _meaning 'to follow a path'. Thus, it is my job to guide you on your unique path to academic success.

Aside from tutoring, I am also a debating fanatic. I was debate captain back in high school, I am in Uni debate club, and have loved debating ever since I was in primary school. The thrill of it is just... unmatchable, especially when you find arguments for an impossible to argue topic. I also love piano and tea, and exploring cool places with my friends and family. I love cooking... and eating, and buying cool stuff. My life is full of passion, and I take that wherever I go, including in tutoring - especially in tutoring.

Finally, equally as important for a tutor is discipline. I have principles that I follow. I will always answer a student's question, inside and outside the lesson. I will always be patient and supportive - some of these concepts are hard, and I understand the feeling of... not understanding. I will always encourage curiosity - I love questions and always promote the asking of them.
