Yoyo
Hello! My name is Yoyo, and I am a young but experienced tutor specializing in maths and biology.
I graduated high school (VCE) with an ATAR of 99.20, both as the school dux for biology and scoring a raw 50 in General Maths. I am completing my Bachelor of Science (major in immunology), at The University of Melbourne.
Look, I know that “tutoring” has this stigma of being strict, overwhelming, and boring. But I aim to combat that stereotype.
For me, tutoring has never been about assigning more homework and talking over PowerPoints. I want not just to teach content in a fun and engaging manner, but also be your friend. I was a high school student, just like you… I was a video gamer, a music-loving nerd, an eccentric artist! I believe being able to connect with students, especially through shared interests, is a really important quality I value.
Trust me when I say that you do not have to sacrifice your hobbies to reach your academic goals. In fact, I believe that incorporating your interests into your learning journey is one of the most effective methods to unlock your FULL potential.
Personalization to the student is a huge part of my tutoring values. Everyone has their own unique learning style and engages with different parts of the content. So I will make it my goal to help you achieve your dream score in the most YOU way possible!
I have over a year of tutoring experience under my belt, and is currently employed in teaching institutions. Aside from academics, my experience as a College Prefect and music performer consolidates my extroverted and approachable attitude towards tutoring!
Let’s get to know each other!
