Hi, I’m Simoni, and I’m here to help you achieve your goals. I graduated high school from Abbotsleigh with an ATAR of 99.40, as an HSC All-Round Achiever and Distinguished Achiever in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics Extension 1, Mathematics Ext 2 and English Adv, as well as completing accelerated HSC Maths Adv in year 11. I also ranked 2nd in Chemistry and 3rd in Advanced Maths in the school cohort, and I’m currently studying Medicine at JCU. For me, focusing on the year 11 and 12 NSW syllabus outcomes was key to achieving high results, and I want to assist you in developing a similar understanding to achieve your targets. Having graduated in 2021, I’m familiar with the intricacies of the new syllabus and I can guide you in the right direction, helping you to boost your academic knowledge and feel satisfied you’ve given this your best shot.
Teaching Approach I developed many study techniques during school, and now I’ve dedicated myself to translating that knowledge through my teaching style over the past 2 years. The foundation of my tutoring approach incorporates a focus on understanding of core content with learning skills to enable the application of knowledge to answer unknown questions in a structured manner. To help maximise your outcomes, I’ll work with you to identify gaps in understanding, and rectify these through explanation of concepts in multiple forms (such as diagrams, written information, discussions) and reinforce this through the completion of practice questions. As a tutor, I can adapt to different learning styles and motivational techniques such as goal setting to facilitate your growth as a student.
