Saravanan
Hi! My name is Saravanan and I am currently studying medicine at UQ. I graduated high school in 2019 from Brisbane Grammar School. I was a school prefect and chess captain and, although my priority was academics, I was involved in a lot of extracurricular activities and sports. I loved volleyball, basketball and football and still play socially during my free time. I also did debating, chess and played violin for chamber strings. During school, I was consistently busy with extracurriculars and I realised the importance of having a good balance in all pursuits. I found tutoring was an excellent way of both staying on top of my work and learning ahead to further my understanding. In my free time, I love playing and watching sports, namely basketball and football, as well as helping out as an executive in many societies. After experiencing years of tutoring, I understand both the benefits and the best way to approach it. For the past 6 years, I have been tutoring school subjects and UCAT and honing my tutoring skills, allowing me to understand the different ways to connect with students and allow them to enjoy tutoring. After 12 years of school, completing my bachelors and my first two years of medicine, I have a wide array of study skills and resources that I use to teach my current students to help their preparation for exams. Overall, I hope to give my students an enjoyable tutoring session where they are keen to learn and can achieve their academic goals.
