Hi there! Welcome to my profile :) I'm Russel and I love learning and sharing my passion for learning with other students! I graduated as campus dux from high school with an ATAR of 99.45 and topped my cohort in VCE Mathematical Methods, Further Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. I also was amongst the top-ranked students in VCE English. More recently, I graduated from Biomedicine at The University of Melbourne and am currently on a gap-year to take a short break from studying before pursuing further post-graduate studies. I have been privately tutoring both primary and secondary students for the past three years. Tutoring has provided me with the privilege of guiding various students to academic success and stellar results. I genuinely enjoy seeing my students succeed and achieve their goals. My tutoring experience has also equipped me with effective teaching and communication skills to ensure that I deliver tailored lessons to suit each individual student's strengths, weaknesses and background knowledge. I acknowledge that different students learn in different ways and use a variety of mediums in my teaching depending on my student's learning style. I wasn't always a stellar student. Believe it or not, I used to really struggle with studying and I was a nervous wreck in assessments in Year 7. However, through the right guidance and support from amazing teachers and tutors, I learnt effective, efficient study techniques which got me the grades that made me happy.
