Riya

Hi there! My name is Riya, and I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Commerce at Monash University. I’m passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals, and I specialise in tutoring VCE English and French.

I graduated with an ATAR of 97.95, having achieved a study score of 46 in English and a scaled 46 in French, placing me in the top 2% of these subjects. I attended Suzanne Cory High School, a competitive selective-entry school, where I received the Rank 1 award for VCE French. My academic achievements reflect not only my dedication but also my deep understanding of these subjects.

As a tutor, I aim to tailor lessons to each student’s unique needs, breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps and providing practical strategies to build confidence. I will support your learning every step of the way by providing detailed, personalised resources for each subject, tools that were instrumental in helping me excel during Year 12.

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy painting and exploring creative outlets, which has taught me the importance of patience and thinking outside the box, qualities I bring to my teaching approach. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and reaching their full potential.
