Hello, Guys! 👋
Hi! My name is Kim. I’m currently completing the Doctor of Medicine at the University of Sydney, after graduating from the University of Melbourne with First Class Honours. I received academic scholarships throughout both degrees, graduated high school with an IB score of 44/45 (ATAR equivalent 99.85), placed 1st in English Literature, and later scored in the 99th percentile of GAMSAT.
I understand that students who perform consistently well are not necessarily the smartest; they know how to learn effectively, manage their time, and study with purpose.
With more than 5 years of tutoring experience across primary to university-level subjects, I am confident I can help students understand and retain knowledge in a way that suits their unique learning style.
My students receive:
🧵Tailored lessons to individual needs and learning styles
📚 Resource bank with exam-styled questions and worksheets
📖 Evidence-based techniques to improve retention (active recall, spaced repetition, note-taking strategies)
🎓 Strategies to excel both inside and beyond the classroom
I also mentor students preparing for selective high school exams or interested in competitive university pathways, including medicine and dentistry. My students have received first-round offers from Go8 universities for competitive degrees such as MBBS and MD. My goal is to help students develop the confidence, habits, and critical-thinking skills needed to become independent learners long after our lessons conclude.
Outside of academics, I know how important balance is. Even with my chaotic hospital placements, I still squeeze in tennis, pilates, a pastry run here and there, and some good quality time with friends and family every week. If you're looking for a tutor who can help you understand the material, develop strong study skills, and build confidence, I’d love to help.
