Kate
Hi! I’m Kate and I am a Physics student at UWA. My goal is to help you achieve the most in your time studying through high school. For as long as I can remember, I have always loved learning, particularly maths and science, but I know that cannot be said for everyone. I hope that as a tutor I can show the beauty of these subjects, as learning is far easier when there is interest in the topic and a teacher who cares about you. I graduated as Dux of my year with an ATAR of 98.80 whilst studying Methods, Specialist, Physics, Chemistry and Literature. I aim to pass my knowledge of mathematics on to my students as best as possible. Since high school I have commenced my degree in a Combined Bachelor and Masters in Frontier Physics, allowing me to further my understanding in the mathematical and physics study areas. Comparing my studies from high school and university has allowed me to see the areas in which extra personalised attention can be incredibly helpful, and as a tutor I aim to help you cover those gaps. Outside of study, I am a state representative in orienteering, a sport that combines precise navigational skills with high-speed terrain running, and I also play social hockey throughout the year. I understand the balance that is required to maintain high grades whilst staying social and active. Thank you for reading and good luck in your studies!
