Eden
Hi there! My name is Eden and I am a very simple creature. I have a few loves. I love to learn, I love to read and I love to run. I survived high school with a lot of Mexican from the library but also with a lot of sport. As a competitive sprinter who did not stop training during any exam period, I understand the importance of dedication and time management. In short, I think I can convince you that while an hour of tutoring may sound breif, the impacts of succinct and personalised learning are unimaginable. This is also coming from the girl who will drive more than 3 hours just to run for 11 seconds.
I also believe tutoring exists in a space shared with leadership. I was one of 20 Macquarie University's prestigious Leader and Achievers scholarship recipients along with being a school prefect and captaining an Australian football team. There is a fine line between being a motivator and a role model and I maintain that the way I teach preaches those values. This is similar to what I aim to do with my law degree.
What separates me as a tutor is my ability to think laterally and continue to provide explanations until one of them sticks. I understand the anxiety of being overwhelmed with new content and feeling as if you are the problem. In my opinion, that is never the case. The way each of us consume knowledge is entirely unique and so, my goal is to work in a partnership to discover the learning methods and styles that work best.
I look forward to meeting you, and learning about your (or your child's) simple loves too.
