Charlotte
Hi there! My name is Charlotte, but you can call me Charlie. I'm a first year PhD student at the University of Melbourne on a WEHI Excellence Scholarship. When I'm not happily slaving away in the labs, I'm searching for the best running track with mates or curled up with a book and my cat. While science, particularly biology, is my passion, I had to push myself in my studies early on to turn this dream into a reality, as my natural skillset fell in the English realm. I graduated from Year 12 tied top for English in Queensland (100) and with a 96 in Biology. After acknowledging where my strengths and weaknesses sat, I made it a priority to study efficiently and effectively, and I hope to teach others the best methods possible. That being said, I think it equally important to foster curiosity and to create a positive learning environment, which I will ensure to provide from the get go. I've been tutoring for seven years now and to this day enjoy seeing those 'eureka!' moments on faces of students. While I agree that it is vital to help you find the 'right answer' in an academic context, I hope more than anything I can help you find a good study system that suits your lifestyle, ambitions and character so you can open any door you desire. So, if you need any help creating a productive and effective study regime, comprehending the scientific language or getting through some boring old homework, please contact me and we can arrange a free consult study session!
